FINDING CREATIVE AND HEALTHY WAYS TO MANAGE STRESS…
IN OUR SCHOOL, WE ARE WORKING WITH THE SECOND STEP PROGRAM SO WE CAN FOCUS ON THE SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING; AND GATHER WAYS OF BECOMING BETTER COMMUNICATORS.
Each week, we will have a new theme to focus on so we can develop mastery on the journey of success. Week 1 was the focus on how to “identify our own personal emotions and feelings.” Week 2 was about “Empathy and Respect” and the focus on how we can better understand the feelings and emotions of others. This week, we will focus on “Stress Management” and finding healthy ways to deal with difficult situations and tough times. This is a great topic because we all face these tough times even as adults, especially those with many responsibilities. Here is a nice quick video I found that does a great job at explaining why people may become stressed and also how we can do things for our own sake of managing the pressure that comes with those difficult situations.
